Andersen Asphalt is a high-volume, asphalt maintenance contractor that really pushes the bounds of equipment and technology. Andersen Asphalt specializes in asphalt preservation and offers the full suite of services like crackseal, sealcoat (their own proprietary material), slurry seal, microsurfacing, and more. They are growing steadily at 25% a year and are on pace to do 750,000 gallons of sealcoat applied in 2023.
Andersen Asphalt has spent years using many different softwares in an attempt to find a solution that would actually simplify their end-to-end workload instead of only a portion. Prior to Bitumio, the scheduling feature within the software Andersen Asphalt was using was clunky and challenging. Because of this, they reverted to using a whiteboard instead of software.
Now, all scheduling is input onto the Bitumio calendar and color coordinated by crew. This calendar is distributed out to the teams in the Bitumio mobile app with all necessary job details.

Our onboarding process includes 3 meetings within the first week of sign up. These meetings including training, help setting up, and Question and Answer sessions to ensure your team can utilize the platform to its fullest. The full Onboarding Process can be found here.

Bitumio is a cloud based software utilizing industry leaders like Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform for all our processing and storage. All data is stored on redundant systems to decrease the risk of data loss.
For those that want a technical explanation, all data is encrypted in transit and at rest. That means that all data that is input into the platform and flows from the frontend to backend is encrypted during the transfer. Additionally, the database itself is encrypted. So even if someone gained access to it they wouldn’t be able to read the data. Within the database itself, all data is segmented by the Bitumio account ID, which keeps all client’s data separated, and all requests to access that data are digitally signed with specific keys.
